The city of Tempe has long been one of our favorite places in Arizona, and for nearly 10 years, we at Modern Tortilla have shown that love by offering the best tacos in town, appearing at special events as well as being the go-to food truck for residents, workers, and the many students that make their home here. Spicy lunches are a favorite in the Southwest, and moms love us, especially the moms of ASU students who live so far away, because they know that the food we serve is created with locally sourced ingredients and prepared with love. There have been some wonderful changes to our menu lately, and today, we want to welcome any newcomers and assure our regulars that the changes are ones they will appreciate.
If you have lived in the Tempe area for more than a minute, chances are you have experienced the wonders of our tacos, burritos, and quesadillas more than a few times, and the first thing we want to assure you is that the more things change, the more they stay the same with Modern Tortilla. In other words, your favorite Chicken Tinga, Carne Asada, and Veggie Tacos are still prominently displayed on the menu, as are the Chicken Fajita Quesadilla and our hearty and delicious Southwest Steak Burrito. The tortillas for the latter are still made with our specialty tortillas, a spinach tortilla for the quesadilla and a chile flour tortilla for the burrito.
How to Improve on Perfection in Tempe?
You have to grow and adapt if you want to continue to thrive, and change is a part of life, but we had to ask ourselves, how can we improve on perfection? Our guests love the menu just the way it is, so we can’t delete anything, but what if we added something? The answer to what we should add was so obvious, we had to wonder why we didn’t think of it sooner! Nachos are the answer, obviously, and as you taste our nacho plate for the first time, loaded with nacho cheese sauce, roasted red peppers, white onions, grilled corn, cilantro, and salsa fresca, we hope that you will take a moment out of your busy day to tell us how we’ve done!
